How to create a MySQL database in cPanel

This demo assumes you've already logged in to cPanel

Now let's learn how to create a MySQL database

1) Click MySQL Databases

Let's create a database called mydata

2) Click Create Database

3) Click Go Back

The database has been created!  We now need to create and add a user to this database

4) Enter a new user to be added to your database here

5) Click Generate Password

6) Click Use Password

7) Make note of the password and click Close

8) Click Create User

9) Click Go Back

The new user has been created.  Now we have to link this user to our database

Note that the username of the hosting account demo1234 has been added to the beginning of both the user and the database, with an "_" underscore between them

10) Check to make sure the correct user and correct database are selected here

11) Click Submit to add the user to the database

12) Click here to assign All Privileges to the user

13) Click Make Changes

That's it!  The user has been added to the database, which is now ready to use
